Experience of Healthcare Providers in the Advanced Practice Nurse System

Purpose The purpose of this study was to understand and describe the experiences advanced nurse practitioner (APN) system used by healthcare providers including APNs, doctors who worked with APN master's course professors at a graduate school. Methods Qualitative data were collected via snowball sampling. participants nine six doctors, three professors. They divided into focus groups, each which consisted all types providers. Data interviews groups conducted from September October 2019. All audiotaped transcribed verbatim. then underwent qualitative content analysis. Results Based on data, we extracted four themes 14 categories. “Role APNs started according environment changes”, “Optimal provider ensure quality care”, “Confused role due incomplete medical law”, “Tasks for stable operation system.” Conclusion For treatment safety patients, legal basis must be established system. its operation, social consensus regarding legislation about APNs’ scope practice is required.
